TRIP NOTES
Five planes made the November trip, four from Santa Barbara, and one from Mulege. Friday the weather was good with tailwinds until just south of San Felipe. The return on Sunday was made in clear skies with favorable winds. The trip times for down and back were possibly a new round trip record.

CLINIC NOTES
November’s medical clinic was a success, with Drs. Eric McFarland and David Dodson seeing patients with the translation help of David Pecorari and Cheri King.  Sarah Roberts did triage while the lab work and vital signs were efficiently run by C.J. Boyer  and Haley Barrigar.  Myra Howard Cochran ran the pharmacy with the help of Natalie Powell and dispensed meds to account for the fact that we would not be going in December. There is a conflict with the local custom of the celebration of the Virgen of Guadalupe, which starts the Christmas holiday.

DENTAL CLINIC
Drs. John Grube and Paul Perez were assisted by Larry Cochran and Karyn Yule.  Hygienist Liz Bracken cleaned teeth.  A new compressor that was purchased for the dental side malfunctioned from the start and the dental side was hampered by low air pressure, which limited the number of fillings that could be done.  Some cleanings and fillings were performed along with extractions, but the number of patients was far below our usual. We will be expecting a big turnout in January on the dental side.

NOTEWORTHY
Dr. Eric McFarland, who has served on the board of Aeromédicos for most of the time we have been going to Cadeje, is taking a position of interest and importance in Australia for at least two years. This could be one of his last trips.  However, with the frequent travels of Dr. McFarland, I would not be surprised to have him on one of our future trips.  We wish him well and will miss his insight, expertise and adventurous spirit.
