TRIP NOTES
Two planes left on Thursday and three came down on Friday. The weather was generally good both directions, with some tail winds for the trip home on Sunday. Winds were very strong on the ground at Calexico, but there was very little turbulence on the trip from Calexico to Santa Barbara.

MEDICAL CLINIC
The medical clinic was well staffed but the doctors saw fewer patients than usual, possibly due to a  fiesta that was also happening in a neighboring town.  Dr. Kevin Hutton, with son Chris translating, and Dr. Eric McFarland, with translator Teresita, provided excellent care for all those who did attend the clinic.  Margo Kenney and EMT Christel Witt took vitals and Christel did additional lab work when needed.  Susan Grube coordinated triage.  Myra Cochran (FNP), with help from Alex Young, managed the pharmacy and took advantage of a little extra time to clean out the “old” and organize the “new” meds and supplies. 
 
DENTAL CLINIC
The dental clinic was staffed with only two dentists this trip. Dr. Stu Macpherson and Roni did all the fillings, while Dr. John Grube and Larry Cochran did all the extractions and delivered two dentures. Prophys were provided by Angela Vanden Brulle and Ilse Longeriche. The dental clinic ran efficiently, with Karyn Yule sterilizing instruments and Scott Walther coordinating triage.  

LINE CREW
Another thanks to the pilots who transfer fuel to other planes while the clinics are in progress…  Just another example of great team work and is greatly appreciated.

NOTEWORTHY
There was a wonderful memorial and celebration of life for Marilynn Enns this past Saturday at Rincon upper lot, overlooking the beach. We will dedicate and place a plaque in her honor this next June trip, after the clinic.
